Plenny Shake changes price

The price of a Plenny Shake meal will go from €1.22 to €1.40

Reasons: Investment in scientific research and development analysts, improvement of sustainable packaging, tax increases and price increases from our suppliers.

Dear Customer,

Over time, we have built a relationship with you, and part of that is being transparent about what we do and why we do it. Therefore, we are letting you know that Plenny Shake prices will increase from €1.22 per meal to €1.40 per meal starting May 21st.

The Plenny Shake subscription price will be €1.19 per meal.

EXPLANATION OF THE PRICE INCREASE

We are ramping up improvement processes and experiments to grow our range of products and flavours, such as the Vegan Twinny Bar, the new Plenny Shake formula, and more. We are hiring scientific research analysts, so we are up to date on nutritional trends and continue to create healthier meals.

Other costs of experiments are laboratory testing and sourcing of ingredients.

Despite producing very efficiently, our growth means we have to outsource more of our production, which comes at a higher cost.

Our production partner is BRC, who have awarded us the BRC B certification, which means a high level of food safety.

Our project is to offset more CO2 emissions in 2019 (in 2018 we offset 329 tons) and we are testing materials to make our packaging 100% recyclable.

External reasons for price increase: the main one, the Dutch government increased taxes by 3% and our suppliers and distribution partners are forced to increase their price towards us.
