Chocolate Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
- 100 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 50g Plenny Shake Chocolate
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 chia egg* (or 1 tablespoon applesauce or ½ mashed banana)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice (e.g. date/maple syrup)
- 170 ml of vegetable milk of choice
* For the chia egg, mix 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Preparation
- Prepare the chia egg.
- When the chia egg is ready, combine with the Plenny Shake Chocolate , flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, apple cider vinegar and the sweetener of your choice.
- Add a little of your chosen plant milk. The batter should be quite thick.
- Let the waffle batter rest while the waffle iron preheats.
- Bake according to waffle iron directions.
- Serve with toppings such as syrup, fruit, puffed amaranth, coconut chips, etc.
